Photo Genius Photo Challenge
Launched in March 2020 and Initially called the "lockdown challenge", this project began as a way to help people improve their photography skills whilst having fun and staying safely at home during Covid lockdowns. The popularity of the challenges grew way beyond our expectations with people taking part from all over the world and over 400,000 views of the challenge videos on YouTube.
As covid restrictions began to be lifted the challenges became monthly and concluded once we were able to return to business and resume running our courses and workshops once again in Brisbane.
In total there are 31 challenge themes, we hope you have fun taking part and challenging yourself to try different things and take better photos.

Below you will find a list of challenge themes, we encourage you to start at the beginning and to try as many as possible as each one will require a different approach, skill set and camera settings. Many of the challenges also have a dedicated video that you can watch that will feature tips and ideas to inspire and help you complete the challenge.

We also invite you to share your images on Instagram or post on to our Facebook group using the individual challenge hashtag so we can find and view your images.
Entry is open to everybody and you can even use any camera or smartphone.
Please note this is not a competition, you can take part in any challenge at any time - have fun!
