A follow up to our popular camera Basics course or for those who are more confident in understanding exposure, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. This short practical photography course involves an afternoon of picture taking and trying out different photography techniques including an introduction to night photography.

This is a fun and informative hands-on practical course aimed at DSLR, or Mirrorless and Micro four thirds camera users who have a basic grasp of the fundamentals of digital photography or have previously attended our beginners Camera Basics course. With plenty of photo taking opportunities in the South bank parklands, this course is about putting the theory into practice within a small group ensuring everyone gets plenty of personal attention and questions answered.
What you will learn
Controlling exposure in the Manual mode (aperture & shutter), when, why and how to change ISO, controlling depth of field, capturing movement, shooting in good light as well as low light, selecting shutter speeds for effect, camera modes and when to use them.
Tripods are provided if you do not have one.
Please note : To get the most from this course it is recommend that you have a basic grasp of the fundamentals of digital photography, we recommend doing the beginners Camera Basics course first.
